Is parking available at the Ferry terminal?
There is no parking available at the Ferry Terminal. However, you can park your vehicles at the public parking spots near the terminal for both SPCT, PRTU, and PSAH.

What is the Ferry terminal Lost and Found policy?
All lost possessions are only kept within 48 hours only, after that it will be disposed of.
Semua harta benda yang hilang hanya disimpan dalam masa 48 jam sahaja, setelah itu ianya akan dilupuskan.

Are there taxi/ rental car companies located near to the terminal?
Yes, you can easily access any taxi/e hailing services at Jalan Syed Sheh Barakbah in SPCT, George Town and Penang Sentral 6th Floor at PSAH.
As for rental cars, you can browse through online rental car mobile app/websites.

How do you ensure the safety of all passengers at the Ferry terminal?
Our Port Auxilliary Police officers are stationed within operation hours at the Ferry terminal to ensure your safety at all times.

What is the ferry terminal operation schedule?
Pangkalan Sultan Abdul Halim (PSAH) in Butterworth starts at 6.30 AM to Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal (SPCT) in George Town. The last ferry will depart from Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal (SPCT) at 11.30 PM.
Operasi feri akan bermula dari Pangkalan Sultan Abdul Halim (PSAH) di Butterworth pada jam 6.30 pagi ke Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal (SPCT) di Pulau Pinang. Feri terakhir akan berlepas dari SPCT pada pukul 11.30 malam.

Are there any amenities or food outlets at the terminal?
SPCT: public food outlets are located opposite the ferry terminal, there are also kiosks located within the terminal.
Kedai makan awam terletak di seberang terminal feri, terdapat juga kiosk yang terletak di dalam terminal.
PSAH: Public food outlets are located within Penang Sentral, there are also kiosks located within Penang Sentral.

Who are given priority for the shuttle service?
Pregnant ladies, senior citizens, and disabled persons (OKU) are given priority when boarding the shuttle van at PSAH only. Our operations team will reserve the seat for OKU but they will be the last one to board and the first one to leave the van. Meanwhile, there is no shuttle service at SPCT.
Wanita hamil, warga emas, dan Orang Kelainan Upaya (OKU) diberi keutamaan ketika menaiki van ulang-alik.
Pasukan operasi kami akan memberi khusus tempat duduk untuk OKU tetapi mereka akan menjadi yang terakhir menaiki dan yang pertama meninggalkan van. Tiada van disediakan di SCPT.

Why couldn’t the bus be allowed to park inside the SPCT compound? It would allow passengers to transfer from bus to terminal and ease pickup from the terminal.
Due to renovation efforts in the vicinity, Bus passage will disrupt the renovation progress.

Are you practicing COVID-19 prevention in the terminal and in the ferry?
Yes, our COVID -19 SOP has been approved by the Ministry of Health in regards to both terminal and ferry operations. (Awaiting verification from OSHE and Risk Management Section)

In case of an emergency, how soon does the rescue team arrive?
Our Emergency Response Team will be on standby 24/7 within a 3-minutes response time.

How many trips-per-days do the ferry operates?
The ferry will operate at 27 trips between 6.30 until 11.30 daily.

Are the old ferries still being used?
The old ferries operation is still being used for only transporting motorcycles and bicycles.

Why can’t I bring my car to the ferry anymore?
We encourage car users to utilise the Penang Bridge and Sultan Abdul Halim Bridge for optimal travel, this is to ensure the safety of ferry users.

How can I find directions to the terminal?
Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal (SPCT), George Town: You can head from Georgetown or from Bayan Lepas. the SPCT is located near Pengkalan Weld

Pangkalan Sultan Abdul Halim (PSAH), Butterworth: You can head directly to Penang Sentral either from Seberang Jaya or Sungai Dua, the ferry terminal in connected at the 2nd floor of Penang Sentral.

Pangkalan Raja Tun Uda (PRTU), George Town: You can head from Georgetown or from Bayan Lepas. the SPCT is located near Pengkalan Weld

What is the minimum age for a child travelling alone?
We implore that children needs to be supervised by parents/guardians at all times.

Where does the ferry embark and disembark at Penang?

Are pets allowed on board?
Pets are not allowed on board the ferry.

A new waiting hall for pedestrian/passenger at both terminals will be ready by year 2021. And a completely new e-ticketing system for all.
